Text: Isaiah 9:6-7
The almighty God wants you to know today that hope has come and that hope is in no one else but Christ.
It doesn’t matter what is going on in the world; Jesus Christ is our hope, and we know that we have Him.
God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of princes, has no impossibility in Him; there is always hope in Him. So do not give up or lose heart, thinking, “How will these things be?” That is simply not your concern.
What is important is that you believe in Him and believe that He can do it.
Take a look at the scriptures below:
For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given;
Isaiah 9:6-7
And the government shall be upon His shoulder,
And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7
There shall be no end to the increase of His government and of peace,
[He shall rule] on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness
From that time forward and forevermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.
“And I will put enmity (open hostility)
Genesis 3:15
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed (offspring) and her [a]Seed;
He shall [fatally] bruise your head,
And you shall [only] bruise His heel.”
“But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Micah 5:2
Too little to be among the clans of Judah;
From you One shall come forth for Me [who is] to be Ruler in Israel,
His goings forth (appearances) are from long ago,
From [a]ancient days.”
These scriptures happened at different times in history yet they all said the same things.
3 Things to Note About Our Hope
1. Hope Was Promised
We have a hope that was promised, and that hope didn’t begin in Bethlehem. It began long before that.
No matter what the devil thinks he’s done, there’s a promised hope for you. God is on the throne, so never doubt.
Jesus Christ, the Prince of peace, is always going to bring peace into your life and into your home. He does so for those who know and believe in Him.
2. Hope Was Announced
Not only was hope promised, but it was also announced.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for [a]all the people. 11 For this day in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord (the Messiah). 12 And this will be a sign for you [by which you will recognize Him]: you will find a Baby wrapped in [swaddling] cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 Then suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host (angelic army) praising God and saying,
Luke 2:10-14
14
“Glory to God in the highest [heaven],
And on earth peace among men with whom He is well-pleased.”
Before the earth started, God had already brought a solution into it. You are not required to sin deliberately, but know that whatever the enemy is trying to do to you, God has announced hope for your case.
Know that help is coming your way this season. The world will celebrate many things this year; some may even argue that it is not the right date for the birth of Christ, but for us, it’s a season that signifies the coming of hope to this world.
3. Hope Was Revealed
When hope has been promised and announced, it will certainly be revealed.
Don’t let anyone deceive you, God is the only one who can turn things around without consulting anybody.
The things you’re worried about and complaining about are nothing before Him, just relax because as long as you’re for Him, He has got ur back 100 per cent.
He’s the hope that has come into the world; without Him, we are lost.
